  Friendly in the way that tries to get you to join but crazy wrong teaching and doctrine. Stay away is my advice.

  Turns out that they send letters to anyone they can't find at home from their regular evangelizing. Annoying? Maybe. Thorough? Undoubtedly. Spam? Not technically. Just FYI: They won't try to contact you anymore if you tell them (asking politely always works best), "not to call on you anymore". And they won't. Shouting "leave me alone" won't do it. (They'll think maybe you were just in a bad mood that day, right?) Best thing is to be calm, matter of fact and determined.
  
  Maybe you think it sucks; but you'd be writing reviews for the rest of your natural life if you were determined to write a neg review of every place that makes you opt-out if you don't want contact. May as well do something constructive about it and then let it go.

  These folks are spammers extraordinaire. I'm not sure where they got my mailing address from, but "cease and desist" characterizes my response to their solicitations.
