  We were visiting the Madison area and elected to attend Sunday Mass after reading previous reviews and reflections from Fr. Thomas Saucier, O.P. This parish is welcoming, friendly, vibrant and alive. Fr. Thomas is very reverent yet joyous, and while his homily was contemplative it was delivered with the love of his Dominican formation. It was very pleasing to experience the number of children in attendance and participating. If visiting or seeking a parish in the Madison area, I encourage celebrating with this faith community and experiencing their love for yourself.

  Allycatherine's comment is unfortuante, and does not reflect the attitude at this parrish (it shows some ingnorance too). Fr. Pat is one of the wisest men I've ever met. This parrish encourages use of the intellect, and that it's ok to question everything (especially the church). If you're looking for more than Christianity 101, consider Blessed Sacrament. Although this church is in an extremely liberal area, I sense no political animoncity between parishoners. There are plenty of activites for families as well.

  As Catholics we are called to love unconditionally as our Savior taught us. But through our own sinful nature we do sin. And treating anybody other than a son or daughter of God falls under that category. I am a Catholic because that is how I learn how to love.
